Using FormX to Repair Camping Gear On The Go

When you’re miles from the nearest shop, it’s broken or damaged camping gear that causes the biggest problems. A split buckle, cracked pole end, or broken clip can quickly become a major headache.

FormX Moldable Plastic Pellets give you the power to repair, rebuild, or even remake damaged parts right at your campsite. Lightweight, reusable, and incredibly strong once cooled, FormX is one of the most versatile repair materials you can carry outdoors.

What Is FormX?

FormX is a reusable thermoplastic that softens in hot water and hardens as it cools. At around 60°C, the pellets turn clear and become soft and moldable. Once shaped, they cool into a tough, impact-resistant plastic that’s ideal for outdoor repairs.

Best of all, if you’re not happy with the shape or need a different part, simply reheat and reshape it. This makes FormX perfect for camping, hiking, and gear repair on the move.

Why FormX Is Perfect for Camping

Repairs outdoors need to be fast, simple, and reliable. FormX delivers all three:

  • Reusable: Heat, mold, reuse — endlessly.
  • Strong: Hardens into a durable, rigid plastic.
  • Lightweight: Easy to pack in any repair kit.
  • Versatile: Bonds well to plastics, wood, metal, rubber, and fabric components.

Step 3: Let It Cool
