P.U. Glue is a high-performance, clear polyurethane (PU) adhesive developed to deliver exceptionally strong and reliable bonds across a wide range of materials. This single-component adhesive reacts with moisture in the air or substrates to polymerise and cure, forming an extremely tough, waterproof bond.
During curing, the adhesive expands slightly, allowing it to fill gaps, cracks, and surface irregularities. This makes it particularly effective for uneven or imperfect joins where maximum contact strength is required.
Once cured, the adhesive remains highly durable and resistant to shock, vibration, abrasion, and temperature fluctuations. It is classified as D4 water-resistant, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications, including environments exposed to humidity and moisture.
The cured adhesive is transparent, ensuring repairs and joints remain discreet and do not discolour surrounding materials. It is ideal for demanding repair, construction, and assembly tasks where long-term strength and reliability are essential.
P.U. Glue bonds effectively to wood, concrete, stone, metals, laminate, plastics, glass, polyurethane, polystyrene, and many other materials, whether bonding like-to-like or mixed substrates. Common applications include joinery, furniture repair, model making, door sills, stairs, skirting boards, window sills, and general construction work.
The adhesive is resistant to temperatures ranging from -30°C to +80°C. Full curing is achieved after approximately 36 hours.
For best results, at least one of the bonding surfaces should be porous or permeable. Smooth or non-porous surfaces should be lightly sanded or roughened to improve adhesion.
How to use:
Ensure all bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or contaminants. Apply the adhesive to one surface only, then assemble the parts immediately.
Press the components firmly together and immobilise the joint for at least 24–48 hours. Allow the adhesive to cure fully before placing the bonded item under load or stress.
