Stormseal™ is designed for the rapid waterproofing of seams and needle holes on tents, bivvys, waterproof clothing, and other fabric items where stitched seams are not fully watertight.
Stormseal is a water-based, aqueous styrene-acrylic polymer dispersion seam sealer. The liquid formulation penetrates into stitching, pinholes, and seam gaps, then dries clear to form a flexible, impermeable waterproof barrier without stiffening the fabric.
It contains no VOCs, is non-toxic, and can be washed off with water before it has fully dried. Once cured, it remains flexible and waterproof, making it suitable for repeated folding and normal fabric movement.
Compatibility can vary between fabrics and coatings. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
Coverage:
One 100ml bottle will cover approximately 12 metres of seam based on a 25mm (1 inch) wide seam.
How to Use:
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
Remove the cap and pour a small amount of Stormseal into a suitable container, cup, or dish.
Using the supplied brush, apply a thin, even film directly over the seam stitching or needle holes.
Allow the liquid to soak into the stitching and fabric.
Leave to cure for 15–25 minutes, or until the coating is clear and dry to the touch.
Stormseal dries clear, remains flexible, and provides a durable waterproof seal once cured.
